the wheel base is what gets you hung up, shorter wheel base makes it places a longer wheel base will not without a lot of modifications, lift, larger tires, sliders.

Who wants to take a pretty $75k suv off road? Go buy a jeep, I try to keep any bit of dirt off mine. But I guess to each their own....
Not much difference in price there these days either.

That low section on the arm is pretty close to the tire so by watching how you drive, it should be ok off road. Getting a wheel in a deep rut could be big trouble though. I really think these machines are (on) road vehicles. An old Jeep Cherokee with a good lift, gears, and 33s is the off road machine.

Resurrecting this one.

Has anyone experienced/heard of any problems from the control arm's low clearance? I don't do any rock-crawling but driving on dirt/rocky roads (nothing extreme) or through snow are my main concerns. Seems like anything deeper than 4-6 inches will have the arm plowing underneath the truck.
They definitely plow the sand. Worse than most other vehicles I see on the beach.

To solve it we need someone to come out with a lift kit that includes lower control arms without the low spot for the spring/shock perch.
