Loud fuel pump

Looking for a little wisdom, (help). I have a 2000 Yukon XL. Problem--All of a sudden, went to start up and won't keep running after start-up .Pump kicks on with key on, for few seconds and starts up again when turning to start (LOUD).
Continues to run for another 5-15 seconds while car is running or trying to stay running. Dies, Coughs. will not stay running. I did fuel pressure test. 20 PSI. Changed Fuel Filter, No difference! Pulled vacuum line on regulator, no gas showing up. Assuming that's OK. Installed New fuel pump from O'Reily's Auto Parts 18 months ago. Thinking pump is bad. I'am I missing something?

i think fuel pressure is supposed to be around 49 psi. could be wrong. but sounds like your fuel pump is dead. hope you still have your receipt. most aftermarket fuel pumps are trash. see if you can upgrade to an ac delco pump and pay the difference.

This is true, should be somewhere from 55-62. Pump only comes with 1 yr. warranty. Was just checking to see if missing something before I dive into changing pump again. Thanks
