It is the rear axle. It is not as good as the 3/4 or full ton full float 14 bolt but it is a whole lot better than the 1/2 ton 10 bolt.

All escalades have bose and bluetooth.

Ah. I see. Thanks for replying. I'm hoping to get into at least an 09. I know they hold their value but I really hope I can avoid an 07.

Not much difference between 07 and 14 other than somewhere around 10 they added a heated steering wheel and then in 12 they updated the radio.

Do you know what trim you are looking for?

Would you guys say maintenance requirements for the escalades are more or less the same as the tahoe?

Actually, to be quite honest, I'm not familiar with any of the trims. So I'm guessing I'd be happy with probably anything. They'd probably all be an upgrade over my tahoe LT. Unless I'm mistaken. Also, I remember someone telling me a while back, that the 07 eskys did not have bluetooth. Is that incorrect?

I don't know about the bluetooth.

The trim levels are:
Luxury which is just the name.
Premium is a fully equipped tahoe/yukon etc.
Platinum has everything to include heated and cooled cup holders

Got it. Do you know if there is any history of cracked dashes with the escalade? Because they Tahoes sure do.

There are some that do crack. But I haven't had any issues with mine.. I am actually thinking about selling to get into a 14 SRT8 Jeep.

I do have the bose and the Bluetooth can be added with the Isimple. Its all plug and play and as for the 2015, Iv heard to stay away till they get there bugs worked out. I am a fan of the 07-14's not so much the 15's

I used to love Cherokees. Them seem like they've gotten smaller over the years.

Any redundant mechanical problems you have noticed with the Esky? I really haven't had any major issues with my tahoe. It has been very reliable since I've owned it. Of course I've had the benefit of meeting very gm savvy people on here.

Only issue I have had is a slight leak in front axle seal. Was covered under warranty.

Yeah for the jeeps its a lot smaller then the Escalade. But we have two 3 row cars now and I am really wanting to get back into a performance car but want 4wd and enough room if needed. Plus I love the interiors of the new jeeps.

Haha yeah, I'm not worried about the 2015s at the moment. Wayyyy outta my price range. I'm hoping for a 2008-2010. Well that's good to know. If maintenance for the escalade is even remotely close to what its been like for the tahoe, I should be in good shape......knock on wood

I've always wondered which handles better in snow conditions: AWD vs 2WD/4WD vs AUTO. The AWD probably only applies to the escalade since I haven't seen any AWD Tahoes or Yukons.

No issues for me but i am a big PM ****. The one thing id do is reground and add grounds. Most of the issues iv seen people complain about is related to how poor the 2007+ GM trucks and SUV's are grounded.

Just took this pic for your enjoyment!
