Lifts for rear door

I have a 2000 Tahoe. The (hydraulic?) lifts on the rear door have failed and the door won't stay up unless someone holds it up. It's just started doing this and I wondered if anyone could tell me what I might do to fix the lifts, if that's the name of the part, or where I could go to find replacements. Doesn't seem like a hard fix just don't know what to call them to look for them.
