Looking for a 2" lift with no air or magnaride. I was looking at the 2" RC but I am being told by every installer that they won't fit the Z-71. I currently have stock wheels which I like with 285-60R20 Ridge Graps. I am also concerned that the z-71 is perfectly level now and I do not want a squat. So I was thinking that the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks would solve this issue rather than the 3" sst lift, etc.?

Yea, if you want to lift it, i recommend doing the front AND back….they are very close to level from the factory.

From my experience, gaining 2 in lift ends up being easy
I would put a two inch lift blocks in the rear on the springs and 2 in bottom lift spacers on the front. Then get it aligned.
Should still be level, i would think.

Bilstein 5100s are good the 5250 I think were the height adjustable ones I ran they were very stiff I only kept them for a week or two before I swapped back to Monroe’s and eventually bit the bullet on some nice coil overs

Get the Bilstein 5100’s. They are adjustable and ride great. The RC kit will work on the Z71 however they require cutting the shock mounts which will require replacement in the future

There are tons of options out there depending on whether you're just lifting a little bit because you like the way it looks in the mall parking lot or because you need more clearance on the trails. Icon makes some nice kits as does King and Eibach as well if you're looking for usable suspension. Otherwise throw some blocks/spacers in there and call it a day.

Ha, I get your point with the mall parking but I am under no illusion that I will gain necessary clearance with the rear control arms. I do like the Icon set up but cant justify the cost for the use. I just need some clearance from mud and sand and I am going with 3" sst and any necessary spacers. I do think it helps aesthetically also. Will post when finished.
