Let's talk about removing the side molding.

I have a white yukon xl that has white molding on the side with chrome inserts. I'm thinking about removing them because the previous owner never cleaned them up real good and there is some green moldy looking stuff in all the crevices. Also, the chrome is spotty (I'm sure it could be buffed out) and some of the molding has slightly separated from the body. I'm sure no one would notice the separation unless they washed it.

Do you guys have any pics of our body style without side moldings?

Removing the moldings looks good. I saw on TRUCKS today the host used a bondo applicator to loosen/peel up an edge of the molding then afterwards pulled it off by hand. Now there was some tape residue that was removed using a 3M tool attached to a cordless drill that did the job nicely.

here's a before/after of when i did mine. it had some wear damage to the paint along the edge on parts, but not noticeable til close up. and since then, have removed those fender flares too...
