I'm close to pulling the trigger on this setup but I'm worried that it'll void my warranty.
If i replace the halogens with LEDs on my 16 SLT, will my warranty be partially/fully voided?

Yukon is the one the left...lighting up can and hand truck.
So far so good and like i said for $40 bucks. I ordered another set for back up and install is so easy that even if one or 2 fail. I got the other ones in the trunk... pull over and do a swap.
No biggy.

I don't stress that!
Are you going to tell them if you go for an oil change? If you go for a related issue... just swap them out.
I'm 47 and i been in the car audio & security business seen I was 17. You know how many times I heard that...
In 1998 i bought a Lincoln Navigator brand new. Did everything you can think of for back then. Remote starter with alarm, tvs, booming system, ect..
One day some wires melted from relays and other stuff outside in the engine compartment. I was so worried with all the s...t that i had done.
Sevice and mechanic guy told me don't worry. All your extra connections are right and it got nothing to do with the problem.
ONLY time we have a problem is when we see some Hack jobs.

Anyone with aftermarket fogs on Tahoes have leds and what kind?? Bulbs size with the aftermarket fogs are H3 and it seems like Cree doesn't have that bulb size?

Usually the only time aftermarket parts void your warranty is if it is a direct cause to whatever goes wrong.

I just bought the suggested led's for the fog lights. Fortunately I already have HID headlights. Just wanted them to match. My question is, do you need a can-bus fix for the lights to work properly? I hope not. On my 2014 jeep grand cherokee you needed them otherwise the lights would malfunction.

I didn't use the can-bus and so far everything is good. I just got an email from onstar but nothing on the car.
I went with just the bulb for the fog lights. From Xenon.com

Did you look at the 9005 and H11 Phillips LED from Xenon Depot? Do you think that shoelace looking heat sink might make the installation impossible? Might have to cut a hole in the dust cover and pull it thru. Seems like that design would be more reliable than the built in fan. Plus 4000 Lumens.

EDIT Just checked and the Xenon Depot lights are 2000 lumens each for 4000 total. Bought some 80 W 8000 lumen units (2x 4000) from the same vendor as AngelXL. Will see how they work.

I'm very happy with what I got. From OEM to what I have now is more than enough. The other night I have my truck running for about 40 minutes with the light on. I checked after
And the heat was just as a regular OEM bulb
And the good things about the fans. You know when is on and working properly.

Hey @AngelXL I'm from Long Island as well! Can you let me know what your local guy has in stock and location? I'd like to pick up a set tomorrow.

Thanks!

when you say you checked the heat of light after 40min, are you talking about the light housing or the fins themselves? There's been some crazy info posted by others with different vehicles using these type of LEDs for headlight replacements showing major heat issues. Yes, the led portion is much cooler than halogen but that is not always the case with the fins/cooling properties of an LED.

I would like to go with this setup vs HID but want to make sure I don't melt the housing. Thanks for the info.
