LEDs installed for license plate and back-up lights

I don't know why GMC doesn't have LED lights all around this vehicle.
I installed LEDs for my back-up lights and for the license plate lights. Really made a big difference.
The first picture shows the back-up lights. The original is on the left and the LED is on the right. The second picture shows all the lights.

Yep. I added led cargo eyes looking down and a pair facing rearward. Both switched separately from inside domes. Really helps.

I did the same. For some reason though it destroys the backup cam image at night. Looks horrific. Mines a 2016 though. Maybe they upgraded the camera since.

I have an aftermarket backup camera on my '00 XL, and my 1200 lumen LED reverse lights really help it out at night.




Maybe you need brighter LEDs?

My back-up camera works great with these lights. It really lights up the night.
