Led mirror turn signal

Has anyone done an led mirror conversion on their 02 tahoe? I want to install the led turn signal in the mirror but I have no idea where I would ground it to make it blink with the turn signal.. Also does anyone know what size led bulb the puddle lights are?

Did it change from 02 to 03? Because I know my 03 is festooned. Only remember because I pulled them apart last weekend trying to tap into the wire.

So as far as getting the light itself out do i just get a flat head screw driver and pop it out?

In my 03 they are festoons. Used the same 42mm ones that I used for the interior.

I beliieve the model # is 211-2 and if you want led bulbs as well i recommend these ones from amazon. its a pure white light 5k and much brighter than the stock halogen.
