My 2015 suburban turns on the headlights as daytime running lights. Is this normal or are the LEDs suppose to turn on as daytime running lights . I have seen other tahoes and suburbans with LEDs as there daylight running lights.

That is weird, the Tahoe's ive seen around only drive around with the middle LED's on during the day. It may just be a programming issue. What happens if you put it on parking light mode.

Only the LTZ is programmed to run the LEDs during the day; otherwise they come on at night, when placed in Park, and /or with the light switch set to parking lights. I went through the same confusion until I "solved the puzzle" on my LT.

Note how "LED daytime running lights" is promoted as a selling point for the LTZ trim. Tricky stuff, same equipment, different programming.

Is there any way to get into the programming module to set the LEDs to DRLs on LT models? Given they share the same equipment, its got to be a setting that just needs to be flipped somewhere in the programming module.

I think all of us Non-LTZ owners need to contact Chevy and complain enough that maybe they will offer a program change. I emailed them from their website.

I would be very surprised if GM did a 180 on that. In the meantime, you can just do what I do, which is tap the fog lights button whenever I want my LEDs on as DRLs. (this is helped by the fact that I swapped out the fog bulbs with LED's as well, which are a closer match in color to the stock LEDs).

Could it be a fuse? Lots of spaces in there called "upfit".

There is another thread on the topic somewhere. Last update was that White Automotive still did not have time to take new work. Beyond that, nothing that I have seen.

Any idea where this thread might be? I've looked high and low and can't find any info on this at all, or even a reference to white automotive.

Just curious because one of my good friends has access to all the oem computer tools so if there is talk of a setting change I may be able to have him get them done.

In a dream world, we'd have bright DRL LED strips. Someone figure it out!

This was a huge let down......you order your suburban thinking you will have LED DRL's only to take delivery and not have them.

I don't get it. Is this different between '15 and '16? My '16 LT turns on the LED strip for DRLs. I thought that was "normal"?
