LED 3157 Type 1 Asymmetrical Switchbacks

I bought these for my pending retro, but we're not going to use switchbacks so I don't need them. Type 1 means that when the turn signal is activated the light sequence is amber/white back and forth.

Asymmetrical refers to the fact that the white and amber leds are not on a 50/50 ratio ... there are 40 white leds and 80 amber for a total of 120. This configuration is recommended to accentuate turn signals which are considered critical lighting, and relatively minimize either the park or drl function (depending on how you wish to wire them) closer to oem brightness.

They were recommended to me by hidplanet members, but I cannot review them myself since I never installed them.

As with all led bulbs, you will need to purchase load resistors for the turn signal function in order to prevent hyperflash (fast blink).

Nope I didn't ... but they seemed to me a perfect park/ts switchback for the upper reflectors in the NNBS Yukon housings.

Noting that I was going to originally use them as drl/ts in the upper reflector ... but extracting the drl signal from the Yukon's lower H13 is somewhat more complicated.

Anyhoot, these will work with any truck's dual function bulb.

The round part of the bulb is 1.5" long and from tip to tip including plug 2 1/4" ... give or take a fraction.

Here, this is what it says on the ebay listing: Size: Approx +/- .030" (length 2.350’’) and (diameter 0.875’’)

I'm interested in these. In the ebay listing it says "This is not SRCK/CK type". Do you know what that means?

CK type bulbs are for Toyota.

The CK bulb is designed for special applications commonly found on Toyota vehicles like the Camry, RAV4, 03-08 Corolla, and all Tundras. If you have a standard socket and try installing this bulb may cause a dead short and blow your fuse or will not light on the parking element.
