Looking for recommendations on leather conditioners. I used it on my 2001 Tahoe for several years and noticed that my leather, especially my drivers seat and driver seat armrest were in much better shape than other vehicles of similar vintage. This is especially the case on the arm rest, I didn't have that little egg shaped indentation/cracking spot going on that most other did.

So, what products are you all recommending. I am especially interested in the vented seats on the Denali and how the leather lotions work with the perforations (and most importantly, don't clog or limit the air flow).

I have used the Adam's and I have used APC diluted to the correct ratio and I can not tell a difference...Spray it on seat and agitate with a small brush til it foams up really good, and wipe it off. Then get out the conditioner. I use Adam's for my conditioner right now, but have a different brand i am going to try when it runs out.

Always used blackfire stuff but this week just used Wolfgang cleaner and conditioner. Worked great. This is my new go to cleaner conditioner.

I've used quite a few different products over the years and can be quite critical, as I am a fanatic about a clean car.

I've had fantastic results with the AMMO NYC brand of products; they offer a cleanser and a conditioning mousse. The owner Larry had them formulated or repackaged under his label to some extent, but he's one of the most thorough pro detailers out there. If you look under the brand name, you'll find his youTube channel to be very informative too.

I've also had really good luck with Leatherique, but I've found that seems to work better on really high-end cars with very supple leather, not the coated "leather" found in most GM products. With that being said, from what I've seen of the new 2015's, the hides used in those are pretty darn upscale as well.

I've also learned that regular vacuuming, at least weekly since it only takes a few minutes, really prevents the cracking over time. Whether it's dirt or food (but I hope you're not eating in your car!), those particles harden and get wedged in the seams. Over time, the seats flex and crease with normal use and those particles scrap into the surface causing damage.

And as a golden rule: Stay away from anything that comes from an auto store (or Target/Walmart/Etc.).
