Hi there.
Finally I have everything like it should be (as seen in my other thread).

The remaining issue is:

The head unit always switches to "video in" (same as "backup camera) when in put the gearbox in anything else but "P".

In "R" the rear camera works fine.
Going on to "N" or "D" the cam shuts of but the head unit says "no video input".

There must be some kind of problem with telling the radio that the car is not in "R" anymore...
is there a certain wire that has got to be connected?

Regards
Dennis

(In my 2011 Yukon Denali)

When I start the car (of course in "P") the head unit starts in "Radio"-Mode.

actually it switches to "AUX-IN". And I cant switch to any other mode when in N or D.
The only function that works is volume, mute and equalizer.

Could it be a wrong signal "Low Speed GMLAN Serial Data" wire, that the aftermarket Canbus doesnt understand?

Even when I start in "N" the head unit switches to "AUX IN" :(

good Question.
What is the reverse light wire?

I only have:
Pin1: positive
Pin2: LF Audio+
Pin3: RF Audio+

Pin4: not connected (but available in the factory harness)
Pin5: not connected (but available in the factory harness)
Pin6: Enterteinment Remote power
Pin7: not connected (but available in the factory harness)
Pin8: ground
Pin9: LF Audio-
Pin10: RF Audio-

Pin11: not connected (but available in the factory harness)
Pin12: not connected
Pin13: GMLAN Serial Data
Pin14: not connected

as seen in the chart attached.

Maybe its just the AUX-"APP" that is started. I cannot find an option to deinstall this app (would have been a workaround).

from what you saying your reverse light (mine was green) is hooked up to video in not reverse camera input, so that's why when you put in drive or any other gear you cut power to your camera and says no video input. Reveres camera input will automatically switch to last source used when no signal detected.

hmmm...I dont quite get it...

Here is a picture of the harnesses that came with the head unit.
You can see No14. There is yellow an black wire for stock harness pin 1 and 8.
Grey/grey-black and white/whiteblack wires for stock harness pin 2,3,10,9.
Blue wire for pin 6
and a green wire for Pin 13.

I also have a harness (not in the picture) to plug in to the stock rear camera harness.
from stock side there are several wires. The adapter-harness to the radio only has 2 (yellow for video signal, and black for i dont know). No matter if i connect this harness or not - the problem with the AUX alway appears.

now is your rear view camera stock or aftermarket? if aftermarket picture clearly shows RCA jack #16 for rear view camera all you need after that is the reverse light signal , I am not familiar with stock cam setup as I didn't have one.

...the backup camera ist stock.
I attached pics of the harness, that comes out of the dash (6 wires) and of the adapter (2 wires).
When I plug in No16 into the adapter the cam works fine..
dont know about reverse light signal (???)

what you doing now is plugging your camera to video input instead of rear view camera input, thats why when out of reverse your screen stays on video input, you cut power from your source "rear camera" by selecting a different gear than reverse and no signal message comes up

hmmm....I definitely plugged the adapter into #16 (rear camera input).
But the link to the other adapter is interesting.
Seems like the yellow wire is just like mine.
but the black seems to be on the other side...
AND the other two cables just bypass the pins and go pack to the harness again...maybe thats the cruncher?

unfortunately you cant see the rear of that harness on the link...

Does anyone have a pin-diagram for the harness that comes ot of the dash for the stock backup cam?
(usually I want to know what I am doing :) - but if not...I will trial and error)

When I look at 2011 Yukons the harnesses are all the same like mine without that jumper cable from your link.
Maybe thats because of some Denali-trim??
I definitely have more cables in that harness from the dash...

In this picture it looks like the jumper cables just crossover the pins:

That not exactly my harness, but it also mitght help.
At least I see that there is a Pin "backup lamp relais control".
Looking at the adpater with jumper cables, it looks like they just ground it to Pin5.
