So I need to replace the screen on the head unit is it sinks up sometimes and then other times flashes and can’t push any of the buttons. I went to a local shop near me looking to upgrade the entire unit, but not the rear entertainment system. They were telling me the best option is to replace the screen only and not the actual unit in order for it to continue to work with the reparent entertainment system. I use the rear entertainment system connecting the HDMI to my iPhone. Sometimes I’m able to get just sound other times just picture and then other times it works totally fine. Does anybody have any recommendations and does this sound right to where just replacing the screen is my best option?
