I have a 2008 Suburban LTZ with the rear seat entertainment package but have been thinking of installing a larger screen in place of the rather small flip down screen that comes from the factory.

I haven't had time to pull the factory screen down to check and see what the connector looks like but I am certain that someone here has probably done this already.

I have a 15" flip down that I would like to install and was curious if this connector might work.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/271942843274

I realize this is supposed to go behind an aftermarket head unit in the dash to retain the RSE but I thought perhaps they might use the same connectors up in the roof at the screen.

Any help is appreciated.

All you need to do is solder a male rca from the video wires and plug into your new monitor.

That doesn't show any audio inputs for the IR headphones. My 15" monitor has the IR transmitter built into it just like the factory monitor.

So, not to be a pain, but where do the audio wires terminate at the other end?

I'd rather not have to pull any wires up to the headliner if I don't have too.

Drop the factory monitor. Look at the harness and see what's up there based on what I sent. The first one I pulled from a 2008. There's always a chance what I pulled is wrong because the specialty equipment sometimes gets mismatched between years. The radio plug is consistent from 2007-2011 though

The audio wires terminate at the I/R signal unit at the 2nd row video screen. (When looking at the Video bezel the black horizontal trim piece is the wireless headphone unit) I was up there recently while adding the third row factory dvd screen... (RPO - DNU) 2nd row supports audio at the flip down unit, third row is video only.

Thanks for posting this. I work out of town and wasn't around the truck to look at it but I did some research and found out the info you posted above.

@fiatdale Do you happen to have the pin outs for a 2004 Suburban? I would like to install a bigger screen as well.
