Looks like range works on ‘25 and ‘26.

Yes, recently updated by Range to include the 2025 and 2026 models.

Word of warning, if you take your vehicle to the dealer and they have to do any programming, like the L87 recall software download, remove your Range module. The dealer says it caused my ECM to be locked up and they needed to put in a new one to finish the recall procedure. They say anything aftermarket, remote starts and other devices, cause this to happen quite frequently. The service manager knew right away when this happened to my truck and called me to ask about the module. One of the techs has the same module but you have to take it off before the vehicle can have the download.

That's the deal-breaker for me with this Range module. I had the under-dash plug-in one in my '09 Tahoe, but I'm not interested in crawling under my truck to remove/reinstall one of these. If they made a plug-in one for our model trucks, I'd be all over it.

It actually is an easy install/removal. Disconnect the ground, just remove the negative from the frame, looks almost like a thumb screw. If you have a floor jack always in the garage, two pumps is enough. Bend the fender carpet back, you don’t have to remove tire or whole carpet. Swap the module, you’re done. It’s well worth the effort.

Here's the install for anyone reading this thread. Super easy can be done in 10 mins. Yes, it's more work than then ODB2 port version, but worth it 100%.

Yep, I'm aware of the process and the "10 minutes" it takes... But I'd have to do this outside of my garage, and in the NE where the weather doesn't always cooperate. So, it's not happening for me. I just have to hope that they come out with a ODB2 port version.

These newer vehicles don't like a lot of the OBD2 port plug ins. There have been bulletins about communication problems with them plugged in. I forgot to unplug the module before I took it to the dealer. I am in the metro Detroit area, and we are having snow and below zero windchills, but I will still be plugging my module, outside in my driveway, back in tomorrow morning.

For our 2018 Yukon Denali 6.2 L10 we ran in L9 until we got a Range. Since then, we’ve left the Range in except when we know the car will sit for over a week. It’s not a daily driver so it often sits for 3 or 4 days with no battery drain issue. No auto start/stop so we can’t comment on that. We have the port under the dash so it’s easy in/out for the Range.

Once our warranty is up we plan to do the full delete.
