Key Fob from 2004 Yukon

I have a key fob that was "temporarily misplaced" for some time and I have now found it. The Yukon is long gone and I thought someone here would rather have it than me just throw it out.

I believe you can take the fob to the dealer to be reprogrammed.

They can be reprogrammed from your drive. No need in getting the dealer to charge you. Up to 4 can be programmed to your truck and the instructions are pretty easy to follow. I programmed mine without much trouble.

i understand you can program a NEW one on your own (not my question)..I was referring to recoding a USED one like being sold here

And that is what I'm referring to. My brother totaled his silverado and had the same LHJ011 fob. The truck learns the signal, the fob doesn't get reprogrammed.

I wouldn't have commented if it was relevant.
