Hello. I have a 2012 Tahoe Lt. I'm having intermittent issues with the key fob. I've changed the batteries, bought a new fob, reprogrammed it with a dnap on scan tool. It worked fine right after I programmed it but seems once the truck sets for a little while or maybe if you move out of range it stops working at a loss right now guys, please help he out!! Snows coming and id really like to start this beast from the house lol. My next thought was the automatic door lock receiver?? Think this is the culprit?

Does the new or old FOB work with another programming session?
You are limited to a certain number of keys/remotes I believe. I'm not sure what happens if you re-program the same key..

Sounds like the RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver, what you said) would be the most likely culprit.

BCM is also listed as a system component, but charm.li makes it sound like the RCDLR sends requests to open or close doors to the BCM, so not sure if it communicates with BCM regarding key codes.

I cleared all previous programmed fobs. Tried to add 2 but as soon as I programmed the 2nd the first one stopped working. So reprogrammed just one. Truck sat all night and the remote did work this morning. Its weird sometimes it works sometimes it don't. But also noticed if you lock it either by the fob or manually if the remote stops working and you have to use the actual key it sets the alarm off until the key is in the ignition and turned on. I did order the RCDLR so we'll see if that works. Hopefully not a issue with bcm!!

Yeah..... Sure sounds like the RCDLR is toast. Let us know how the replacement unit works.

Got the new RCDLR today. Installed and now it does nothing. I'm gonna guess that I will have to reprogram the fob again. I ordered it from ebay. Says it fits my vehicle but its got 2 plug connectors and the old one only had one. Hubby's gonna bring the scan tool home tomorrow so I can see if I can program it.
