I got the same intake kit and had it installed last Friday morning. I did notice an increase in throttle response as well as some engine noise. The 6.2L engine sounded much better and meaner at full throttle. I had a Magnaflow muffler and resonator delete kit installed that afternoon too. The whole vehicle sounds great now! Haven't noticed any mpg increase yet b/c I was stomping it every chance I got. I'm going on a road trip this weekend from Houston to New Orleans. Should be able to see what mpg increase I get after this trip. I'll post any results.

It's in. Took about 30 minutes to install this morning. Did some 0-60 runs stock and with the intake. Dropped almost a tenth on average. The incoming air temp is about 15* colder then stock sitting idling at running temp. No results on MPG increase yet. Seat of the pants throttle response is impressive. Much quicker over stock. I think it is deff. worth the $226 I paid for it. Looks much nicer then stock, there isn't much noticeable increase in engine noise while driving either.

Hope this helps!!

That's awesome. Now I -really- want one!

What kind of car do you have? So you have the 6.2 and not the 5.3? What exact model type did you get?

I probably would rather not have the metal tube.

Keeps the stock look and won't conduct heat as well. I would only get the polished kit if I was planning on doing other things to my engine bay.

Why's that?

I read a lot about this. Plastic is way better. Polished looks better but this one performs better because it doesn't conduct as much heat as the polished one.

This makes sense!! Thanks for the explanation:) I've always like the other just cuz of looks but I guess I'll go with the plastic:waytogo:

I like how the volant has a box cover... I probably would buy the GM Performance one if it was plastic.

I'm considering one of these and I don't understand the difference between the K&N 63 (aircharger) kits and the 77 (air intake) kits. Their web site doesn't make it clear. Can anyone summarize?

Also, which would be better for throttle response at low RPMs? I don't care about added HP at 5500 RPMs...

Not sure but according to the specified dyno chart, the (63-3058) air charger gains more HPs.
