Okay after lots of research on corvette servo and reading a couple threads here and other varies of forums i decided to bite the bullet but with a couple concerns and questions

1. How hard is it to install im thinking im gonna have a tranny shop do it they are only charging me 40 bucks

2. Would i need to change out my tranny fluid i have about 52,*** miles and i have never change the filter or tranny fluid

3. if i do need to change tranny fluid what type would you guys recommend (royal purple ? what type of grade etc)

concerns i called the tranny shop that is going to do the swap and they had mentioned something about my tranny being a 4L65E with a Heavy Duty Torque converter and a thicker Imput shaft (whatever this means) i asked him about what was all that about he said that my truck puts out more torque then 2000-2004 tahoes and thats why it needed a "beefier" torque converter is this true ?

anyways here is the one i ordered

thanks guys for your time

Should only take you an hour.....unless you're like me and tried to reinstall with the 4th apply piston on backwards...

You don't really need to change the fluid; only a few ounces will drip out during the install.

one more concern i forgot to mentioned how would this servo behave when you have your overdrive engage ? usually i notice when i have the overdrive engage it holds the rev band 2-3k rpm higher/longer

okay so finally got the corvette servo installed

My little overview

I gotta say definitely worth the upgrade my truck now shifts faster from 1-2 shifts and 2-3 shifts. The change is more precise and the shifts seem less lazy.

It's not a hard shift either just perfect imo. All i need now is a tune to enhance the shifting.

I also went ahead and dropped the pan and drain the old tranny fluid and dropped in a new pan & gasket.

This is what i got from the actual website where i got mine from

This servo is a must for any performance, towing, RV/off-road application, but would be a nice upgrade for any 700R4 or 4L60E. Right away you'll notice faster and firmer 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. This servo will give your transmission 50% more apply pressure, just what you need to keep from burning your transmission up under heavy load situations

here is my worry, i had a guy from a popular tranny place tell me that the corvette servo will destroy my torque converter, any thoughts....
I asked the same questions and tranny said it actually helps the tranny last longer cause it applies more accurate shift points. less slippage. I would have to call them and double verify
