Issue with camera in mirror - need help

Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my 2021 suburban rst - the passenger side mirror no longer works. It shows as black on the screen. The dealership wants $240 to diagnose whether or not it is covered under warranty. I think that's absurd.

Has anyone seen this happen before? And can anyone point me in the direction of what part might need to be replaced inside the mirror? These are the two part numbers given to me by the parts department but they could not confirm which one I might need.

Well, if you are still in 3yr/36k mile warranty, and you are sure you didn't damange it via impact or whatever, they should diagnose and fix in warranty, so don't sweat it, take it in, they will fix.
