2006 YUKON 1500 5.3 the car will start fine for a week or so and then it will not turn over, this might last for one or two days then you go out and try it and it starts fine. Battery is brand new

The phrase "turn over" means different things to different people. To some it means it cranks but does not start. To others it means it does not crank. My high school auto shop teacher used to say " my car won't turn over!! "does it sit up and beg?" "

so which is it? Is this a "No crank" condition?

The next time that it does not start, get a hammer and firmly tap (not bash) the side of the starter a few times. It it starts right up afterward, replace the starter.

Starter relay worn? Is there a aftermarket alarm on it? Loose wires at starter?
