Some electrical gremlins going on.

2012 Yukon SLT or SLE, not sure.

When I start it up, engine starts fine but then right after it's running the entire dash (cluster and center) loses power abruptly along with a loud *pop* from the speakers.

Happens about 50% of startups. Does not happen any other time except right after startup.

Hilbilly mechanic I bought it from has an aftermarket radio in it. I am going to start with reinstalling the stock radio and see if there are changes.

Last detail. G108 -> G104 ground strap corroded so I just connected G108 to the front of the driver cylinder head (car forward) instead of the G104 stud. Shouldn't matter. I noticed I don't have anything on G110 and G111 is missing altogether.

Anyone have ideas? Fuses or relays I should check maybe?

The firewall to hood ground doesn't do much except help with radio interference. I suggest having the battery load tested and performing a voltage drop test. Not many things worse than damaging electronics that are incorrectly handling a main ground.

The battery cables on these are notorious for corroding internally and causing exactly these issues.
