Interior lights stuck on

When I bought my 97 the fuse was out of the interior light circuit. Put a fresh new 20A in and noticed both visors were on as we're all the dome and door lights. The vanity mirrors are missing the doors so I unplugged them to eliminate that draw. But my other lights won't time out for nothing. Unplugged all the door switches and headlamp switch. Still stuck on. Is there a timer relay somewhere? Any help would be much appreciated. Id like to keep it stock and not install a toggle.

Which wire do i need to add the swich to if i need manual control of my dome lights

do you not get them on manually when you turn the dimmer rheostat all the way up past its indentations?

Yes but i want to turn them off when i keep my doors open all day at work right now i just take out the fuse but a swich would be nice

uh before you cut any wires why don't you used the defeat push button on the headlight switch. when the button is locked in the interior door switched lights remain off even when i door is open.

The dome override only stoped them from timing out.iv added a swich in the fuse pannel using the open space but mite look for a photo cell switch.it should be easy anuf to remove in the future

if it was working properly it will stop the lights entirely as well. if it is not doing that then something is broken. note that if you open the door then lock the button in then you have to wait for the timer to shut if off. afterwards they will not come back on.
