Instrument Cluster Dead Help!

This morning i got home from work everything was fine turned off the car , in afternoon when i went to go to store the instrument cluster would not come on i tried turning on and off twice nothing.... I have noticed periodically while driving the cluster would flash and reset quickly but then back to normal.... i just recently replaced alternator bout 2 months ago. my 2003 gmc yukon slt has 205,000 miles on it... lights work windows work but no warning lights or gauges except turn signals. i know nothing about soldering or electrical stuff so if anyone can tell me what i need to do plz.

You could replace the bulbs in it I just recently did mine took about 10 minutes and was doing it while my ex was nagging at me
