I have OEM Navi Deck, and I want to install the OEM rear camera. I read on a post that if your truck did not come with rear camera, you can not install. Has anyone heard that before? I"m planning to get dealer to install, but I'm gonna buy as many of the parts as possible, I think everyone knows how expensive the dealers can be. So far I have the camera, next will be the module....But I dont want to keep buying if I can't get OEM installed.

-Has anyone had the OEM camera installed and how much did dealer charge?

I think the install would be extremely difficult and costly. Plus, the rear applique that houses it (which you'll have to swap out) is next to impossible to remove, and you'll damage your liftgate doing so if I remember right.

I had the same exact question. Let us know what you find out from the dealer if you continue on.

Checked out the dealerships website. Their camera price is listed as $350. Camera with install is $610.

I'd suggest purchasing a lockpick. It's a breeze to install with it. I had $65 in a camera and then the price of the lockpick. That's it. Very simple. I have an LTZ that didn't come equipped with Nav, so I installed nav the first week i owned it and added the lockpick and camera later.
