'05 Tahoe, when backing into the driveway to get the boat this weekend, I noticed the fuel gauge went to empty ( had a little under 1/2), then when I pulled it out and drove it around it came back to normal.. Filled up, and did alot of "flat land" driving, and the fuel readings seem ok.

I just got the truck, so I dont know, is this normal when the truck is nose down on an incline, or is this one of the early symptoms of the pump/sender going out?

when inclined your fuel reading is effected because the tank is typically long from front to back and the pumps are typically at one end of tank which cause the goofy readings. if you go from full to empty on all flat land continuously with out any glitches I would not worry about it.
