I'm done waiting for GMC to get thier act together. After 11 months since the first order and then changing the order to a 2023, I cancelled the order. GMC can't build a $93,000+ vehicle (2023 Yukon Denali Ultimet)? I won't buy a rice burner so I'm just keeping the Durango.

I'm at a year for a XL SLT 5.3L. Dealer says it's built. Been built for months. No one knows if it's just in the shipping log jam or waiting parts. He did confirm it came out as a 23' So I'm going to guess it's awaiting shipping from Midlothian to Wisconsin then a truck to Iowa.

This might be more frustrating than it not being built at all. You know it's done, and it's just something stupid holding it up.

Can't blame you. I'm "only" 6 months in and I've considered pulling the plug a few times and just waiting for inventory to build up and shop again when things are closer (or as close as we may ever get) to normal. And now that I've seen an AT4 has been built with the 6.2L it does give me pause on whether I should back off the Denali. But then I think about how damn long it's been already and wonder if I've got another 6-12 months in me to wait.

Just went to the dealer to get the whole story about where I was in the pecking order at the dealer level. While not every question was answered fully, the general manager summed it up best with " plan on it being 5 to 6 months from now which most likely makes it a 2024".

One other item that the dealer could not explain was why the GMC customer website build and price was off by $1005. Seems Onstar forced on for 3 years is listed as" standard equipment included in the base price "on the window sticker, but then they add $905 on a Denali or $1500 more on the SLT in the extra charge items. That was a $905 double speak and just to turn the knife a little deeper there was a $100 freight increase this week so total was the $1005. And then there is at least one more price increase for thec24 model year. Too much, I am out.

if it honestly is going to be a 2024, I'd think 9-10 months would be a minimum if this past year was any indication....a few 23s started to trickle in around August...

you're just too far down the list with them - as long as you don't have to be a deposit down, keep in touch and seek out other options either from "local-ish" dealers or be searching the online inventory with a signifcant radius. not a lot of leg work but more than typical...understandable though for sure if you decide to move on

Bought a 2022 from this dealer and got 9% off the real MSRP. Typical Florida dealer charges a $899. Fee, not negotiable. Possibly the best deal in the country. You can see their pricing on the GMC website.. No way am I paying sticker plus elsewhere. Rivard in Tampa.

I'm done also - after waiting since April for a Denali and capitulating on a bunch of stuff we wanted (can't have a diesel, can't have the rear view mirror camera, no max tow, etc.), the fact they finally accepted the order a few weeks ago and the window sticker I just got shows they just flat out built it without wireless and expect a $75 credit on an $83k vehicle to be OK is the last straw. Best of luck to the rest of you, we test drove an X7 a couple weeks ago and will be ordering that tomorrow. GMC is an absolute joke with all of this BS.

They accepted it a couple of weeks ago and now you have a window sticker? Seems sketchy.

The post covid world is no joke. Sorry you had such lousy luck. Good luck on the BMW.

THE GENERAL is losing favor with me with all this crap. I am soooooooooooooo glad I am not in the new car/truck market. Take that money you have and buy a NBS and make it the way you want. I get that you need to make payments but for those with the money, do yourself a big favor.

Lol I don't think we are buying 80k suvs cuz we need to make payments. Most of us want space, safety, efficiency, good road manners, and utility.

18 year old NBS suvs will not even come close to cutting it.

For room, yes they will. For reliability, yes they will. Lots making payments and you know it. You may not be but lots are. Build what suits you instead of buying what suits the General.

For room? Have you seen the dimensions of a 2021 tahoe/yukon? Comparing to a 2005 taho/yukon you give up an immense volume. Reliability ? The 10speed auto is proving to be extremely solid compared to the 4l60/65/80s out there. Believe me i used to fix them.

The whole payment thing is weird. It's up to an individual on whether or not they want to make payments. If I have 80k cash but can take a loan for 5% that loan makes sense so long as I can make more then 5% on my 80k cash (investing etc). Now if my return on the cash is less then 5% then it makes sense to pay upfront (to keep it simply).

Sounds like they gave you GMS employee pricing which is 9.1% off msrp and GM used to offer this for everyone in the month of December.

It's really a shame. Much like VW from the 90's when my generation was buying their first cars and got burned, either by the car (looking at you Jetta) or the shady af dealerships, a whole swath of us have forever swore off VW/Audi. My wife wouldn't even consider the Q7. GMC has just firmly entered the same category with their inability to manage expectations/supply chain.

It'll be interesting in 5-7 years when these cars are hitting the market, and you have to see what sort of COVID spec it ended up being. Oh, that one never got the ventilated seat blower, or the heated wheel, or wireless charging. Maybe the parking sensors weren't installed, or the heated steering wheel. Ah yeah, that one didn't get the rear camera mirror. But they're competing with vehicles a couple years older that are better equipped.

Best of luck to you all.
