How do I remove the Tahoe rear applique above tag?

Depending how long urs has been on, proboly since u bought it but i shaved my tail gate and its really stupid how it is. GM are a bunch of idiots but its one of those parts were u almost have to replace it wen u take it off. Cost me 120 to replace it bc mine broke. But not a hard job tho. Use wd-40 on the screws first.

I pretty much broke mine yesterday. It's still on for now, hopefully I can fix it without buying a new one.

Im in the same boat. The screws attached to the applique just spin. I did get one off and they must out a blue loctite on the screw ends or something. wd-40 did not help. Even let it sit for a day on there!. I just want it off to install my rear view camera.

yeah I've changed my applique 3-4 times and installed an OEM back up cam in my OEM applique

I just had some work done on my esky and the mechanic at the dealer broke mine. They had to order a new one but I got the old one I can take pics of the back of it and how it mounts. I'll try to remember tomorrow.

In my second link right above your post there are perfect pictures of how it mounts and the damage that happens every time you remove it
