House battery install

Hi all, planning to install a secondary deep cycle battery in my 2013 Tahoe SSV to run my accessories from.. What would be the best charging /management installation.. Trying to keep it economical also..

Best and economical probably are the opposite ends of the spectrum. Best IMO would be a DC -DC charger such as Redarc offers. Best because it will automatically charge the house battery to the optimal level regardless of what charge level the starting battery has.

There are less costly battery isolators that are essentially relays. Those will present the same charge voltage to both batteries.

On the low cost side a simple battery switch such as boats use.

Edit: I didn’t think to ask first if you’re relying on engine charging or if solar or shore power is in the mix?
