hood lighting

How to add a light on my hood when i open it like the oem ones when i open the hood the light shows and when i close the hood the light cuts off.

I have an '05 SLT that doesn't have a light either- is there a certain trim level that had them standard?

00-02 had them (I think)

They changed that and removed the footwell lights in 03

Yes my 02 has engine bay light, and footwell lighting.

It is just amazing what they all delete in order to safe money during the build, but these are all great things to have during everyday usage.

Make your own with LED strips, alil wire and a hood pin switch.

So clean! Hey where did you mount your hood pin switch?
Also where did you get power from?

I'm using a switch (the little blue led) on the fuse box.
Power is directly from battery through a resettable 30 amp fuse, also mounted to fuse box side.
It supply's my HIDs in lows, fogs and under good lights.
I am currently building these "kits" for future sale.
