194 bulbs in the cluster might need replacing and as 2000yukon said...stepper motor issue is possible.

Like everyone mentioned... light out and stepper motor.

nope... he has a 2004 which means they are LEDs...

um...my 05 has 194's in it! they are installed inside a 194 twistloc socket. there are 5 or 6, iirc that back light the cluster.

Are you sure?

That's only 99-02 that do that. 03-06 are LEDs...

My 01 HOE had twistlocks, but my 04 they are soldered to the board...

Here's the 99-02 guage where the 194 twistlocks go

This is what the 03-06 gauges look like and you can see the LEDs

Nathan, you are correct that the 03-06 are not twist off 194's, but they are also not LED's.

If you look at your 03-06 pic, you can see all the mini bulbs with blue bases piled up at the top of the pic. That pic is actually a write up of switching over to LED's.

If you are good with a soldering iron, you can just buy mini-bulbs at Radio Shack and solder them in on the 03-06 clusters.
