Help with Peripheral Electronics iPod interface

I am considering adding the peripheral electronics isgm74 ipod interface to my tahoe. I have 2007 Tahoe with factory NAV/DES. My question is does anyone know if I will be able to control the ipod through the touch nav screen? tia
