Help with memory/keyless entry!!

How the hell do i get the two key fobs to change the driver's seat between themselves. So if i press my fob the seats and whatever else goes to my position (#2) so by the time i get to the truck it's done adn my wife's vice versa (she's #1..obviously lol)? I read the manual and played with the DIC and no luck. Can SOMEBODY tell me what i'm doing wrong please? right now i have to press the dam memory buttons.

Okay now, don't take this wrong.....................
The fobs are numbered matching the memory buttons.
They only work on the memory if the vehicle was locked and then unlocked again.
