I have an 01 Yukon XL 1500 5.3. She’s in great shape, but when towing a heavy boat trailer, I have some terrible bounce in the rear.

Original rear springs, with new Bilstein 5100’s all around. I bought a Rough Country 2” kit… that was garbage. I tossed the shocks, but kept the rear spacer.

I fitted airbags, which at 25psi help considerably, but it seems the springs are still shot.

What Moog or other brand springs should I replace with? I’d like to keep the addition lift in the rear, so either springs with the spacers or just replacement springs.

i don’t tow the trailer more than ~10 times per year, and the rest is around town.

I’m ok going with HD springs, but perhaps 30% over normal since I already have the bags?

Main question is which springs will add the right amount of ride height.

I am going to get a weight distribution hitch as well, but want to sort the springs first

I see Moog 81069 or 81071
81069 ... 2 pigtails ... 17.177" Free Height ... 5.266" Installed Height ... ??? Inner Diameter ... 0.64" Bar Diameter ... ??? Spring Rate ... ??? Load ... constant
81071 ... 2 pigtails ... 16.042" Free Height ... 5.266" Installed Height ... ??? Inner Diameter ... 0.64" Bar Diameter ... ??? Spring Rate ... ??? Load ... constant
but those are just OE replacements for Tahoes / Yukons / Escalades, Suburbans / XLs / ESVs, and Avalanches -
and Moog left out critical info.

General Spring XHD:
General Spring HD:

Dorman 70% over:
Dorman 35% over:

That's all I've learned so far ...
