Hi Everyone,

It has been about 15 years since I have been on the site. I am former Tahoe owner myself having owned a 1997 LT 2-door Sport 4x4 (should have kept that one), a 1997 LS-2-door Sport 4x4, a lifted 1999 2-door LS 4x4, and a lifted 2004 Z71.

Here is my old 2004:

Anyway, been trying out a lot different builds over the years so here are some of them:

I have a lot more but too many to post. This is my current build and daily driver;

I am now ready for a change and thinking very hard about going back to a SUV and probably the Tahoe. I really want the new 6.2L V8 and 10-spd of the RST, but I actually take my rigs off-road so that won't work. I also have a real fondness for the Z71 so thinking of a 2018-2019 and maybe supercharging it (?). I love the fact it comes with hill decent control, skid plates, and other handy tidbits for off-roading but still great for daily family use. Either that or a Land Rover since I have had those as well but will probably go with the Tahoe since I am fan of full sized rigs. I am trying to work out the suspension details I want since the factory setup won't quite work but don't want a drop bracket lift. I would like to go with my Tundra setup that has +3-inches of lift and 35s using a King/Total Chaos setup but I know the Tahoe won't handle 35s off-road without more lift. So maybe dial down it to 33s and call it good.

Anyway, I have been lurking around the forum to get ideas and getting close to a decision so I thought I should say hello!

Thanks Gary! Yeah, I really enjoyed the '04 Z71 a lot which inspired to come back to a Tahoe. I found a new one today in Velvet Blue which looked really good with the Z71 package (and I typically don't go for dark blue trucks but this really good). Anyway, looking forward to the change!
