Hello all! New to forum and have 2020 Tahoe interior rattle question

SO i bought a 2020 Tahoe Premier and have rattles coming from (I think) passenger seat and rear passenger seat captain chair...anyone else have this? it is annoying for a $38k car and I have tried the electrical tape on the rear seat latch to no avail

What happens when anyone is sitting in those seats? To be straight about it, you are saying the front and rear passenger seats make a rattle noise, correct? Does it make a difference when do seat adjustments? Move: forward, back, tilt.....etc.

I think the rear seat might be better if I grease the latch areas? at least I read that here and also i have heard the headrests may be crappy but it is way too loud for a one owner nice 2020 Premier

Maybe would be best to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. There shouldn’t be any rattles, but it could be a relatively simple fix. I had rattle coming from below the steering wheel and it was just the hood release latch wasn’t properly seated. All i had to do was push it in place.

without knowing for sure it’s hard to say. Get under there and start tugging on stuff till you find the wiggle.

man its sounds like the passenger seat and passenger rear seat are coming off the mounts with every tough bump! can you torque the seat bolts in the rear? i am desperate

The tracks attach with bolts or nuts on studs. Must check for being tight.

It would also help to answer my questions about noises with people in them and seat adjustments.

I had a similar rattle and the solution ended up being to attach washers under the rear seat latch. Can't remember where in the forum I read about it, but the thread is in here somewhere

I'd get a second person to go for a ride with me, and while I am driving and trying to reproduce the sound, the second person could be tracing it down to its exact source.

it is definitely the rear passenger captain's chair...frustrating in a $39k truck for sure. I can reach back and hold the seat when I am driving and no rattle and I am thinking about just leaving the seat down and try that

I have had this rattle for at least 3 years. Had my rear Magnetic ride shocks replaced 2 years ago, figured that would fix it, it didn't.

This post helped me fix it. I have the bucket seats, was the passenger side. Took about 5 washers, taped them together like a hockey puck, and stuck a set on either side between the seat bracket (where it latches down) and the floor. Fixed it. Forgot what it was like to not have a rattle!

Mines was the driver side second row captain rear bolts. Remove the small carpet and add washers.

I fold a paper towel up on each latch and then slam the seats down on them. Snugs them up and no rattle. Any time I flip the seats back I just fold the paper towel and slam it back down again.
I know that sounds so cheap and typing it out makes me laugh but it works!

I've got you all beat. Mine rattled from the day bought it. I finally got mad and slammed the shit out of it. It's not rattled since. I repeat the procedure as needed (if I ever release it)

the top portion of the passenger rear bucket seat needs to be tightened somehow it's gotten to where you want to scream
