I would go with LTs over shorties. The shorties are basically the same size as your stockers. Brand will depend on the $$$ you want to drop. I have the AEM LTs and love them, but they have a hefty price tag. Another good brand is the Dynatechs....

Hard to say since they went on at the same time as the cam install. Just looking at them, you can tell they are a lot more free flowing than the stockers.

Sweet. Do you have a S/c? If so, what spec cam did you do? I was thinking about getting one.

I put the cam and headers on before the blower and was very happy with the performance especially on a DD. The Tahoe straight moved! The blower put it over the top and she runs like a ***** ape now, with over 575HP at the engine. I have yet to take it to the track or dyno yet, so this is just EFILive estimates (so take with a grain of salt).

Justin's Silverado SS has a Maggie and a Z06 cam with headers and he blows the Tahoe out of the water. It is a neck snapper making over 650HP.

You can't go extremely big with the Maggie, but any cam company should be able to help you pick out the right cam. Yes the 405HP Z06 is what Justin has in his truck. Not sure which cam we will run in the TBSS with the TVS1900.

You will need to get tuned for the cam you choose. Whether or not it will run like crap without a tune, depends on the cam you get. If you aren't sure which cam to get, I suggest calling cam companies and seeing what they suggest for your application.

I replaced springs and pushrods with my cam swap.

I love my longtubes, must have picked up a solid 20hp and 25tq. Smoothed out the powerband and it pulls at damn near any rpm, really runs up top now. I'd look at the dynatechs, stainless works, and AEM if you can find em. I was lucky to come across my AEMs for a really good deal, probably the best thing I've done to the truck besides the tune. Don't forget to buy some plug wires as the stockers might not handle the heat and closer proximity on aftermarket manifolds.
