Hi guys … Yes I’m also new here. I have a 97 Yukon SLT and behind the head light switch I have a green wire with a yellow strip with some bear wire that is not connected to anything. All my lights work inside and out. I`m just wondering what is for??? Any ideas …. Thanks

I agree with needing pictures. I ran thru a load of diagrams and either it has been messed with or the color coding is wrong or faded.

Well wahat looks to be a yellow wire splice to who knows what which looks a little bare at the connector shoul be you headlamp output feed. I can identify others as well but while seeing the green/yellow wire in its own picture I am not seeing where it is coming from the switch so eliminate that part. Can you possibly trace the other end? Pehaps it has something to do with that switch cluster under the dash which looks like a switch set for controling a ramp in the rear for maybe a mobility transport loading ramp or load leveling system. I still don't see the green/yelloy in my grams yet.

you may be looking at a new headlight switch soon. wires close to the plug look a little burnt.
