ok so i just dont have the time to work on my vehicle like id like to and today the radiator just decided to make it rain , so i took the ole girl up to a shop ive been at b4 , i supplied the water pump,fan clutch, and ujoints , He supplied the radiator , now for the radiator and labor plush coolant and shop supplies hes coming out too 600 bucks.... good deal?

Wow....how much was that radiator and how many hours of labor was involved? Depending on hours that may not be terrible

delphi rad from amazon is about $150. supply that to him so he has to parts to up-charge you on just labor.

well i needed it fixed asap and the rad is not a delphi but hes warrenty the rad for 2 years , and idk how many hours w.e calls for u joints, rad , water pump , and fan clutch

What's the book time on a waterpump? Can't imagine it taking more than 2-3 hours to change the pump/fan/radiator.

80-100 an hour. That is actually about correct to change all that stuff plus the radiator

I have to change my radiator Sunday, and I just ordered my Delphi radiator last night from Amazon for $132 with free 2-day shipping. Question I have is, do you have to remove the clutch fan to change it out? Any help and pictures would be appreciated.

Yes it is ideal to remove the fan and fan clutch i dont have pics sorry maybe someone will chime in

Yea no need to take off the clutch fan. I replaced mine easy no problem with all there

In total it was an hour job even with a ****** up line because my dad accidentilla cut it because he didnt see we had adapters...

you guys just took off the shroud? i found it much easier to take off both

Just remove the fan shroud to uncover the bolts. With the right tools it is very easy! I guess if you want to overkill in space remove the clutch fan but not necessary and not worth the cursing and effort to break it free.

Step 1.Drain radiator, Step 2. Remove the shroud, step 3. Take of clutch fan, Step 4. remove radiator and replace it with a 3500 4 core radiator, Step 5. bolt Mark 8 fan 2 ur shroud, Step 6. bolt everything down refill radiator with coolant and U'll be so cool every1 will call u culo...

not a big deal, a pain in th ass on a lifted truck but minimal tear down

Okay guys, now here is the million $ ?, can you replace the lower radiator hose with out removing clutch? Since I'm changing the 12 year old radiator might as well do both hoses, and should I change out clamps?
New radiator came yesterday like promised and doing job first thing after church.

3500 radiator, is that bolt in to a 1500?
