Hard-Wiring a gps

I have a 2003 z71 tahoe and I am planning on hardwiring my gps in the square opening to the right of the air conditioning.....any suggestions? or tips would be great

Hmm someone on this forum has this exact thing done and it looks really clean. Hope they chime in!

I hardwired my 2011.

Used a Kuda Mount to mount it to the dash.

For the wiring I used an add-a-circuit into the fuse box. Only problem was that I couldnt find a fuse that would turn off with the vehicle. Think all those were under the hood and I didnt want to go through the fire wall. So plugged it into the rear aux plug fuse.

Once this is installed I just wired a cheap aux plug to the wire. Ran my garmin wiring under the dash and through the side of the radio bezel (without cutting or trimming anything) and plugged it into my garmin.

Also did the same for my V1 Radar detector.
