Hands Free Tailgate Stopped Working - Fixed

2018 Suburban Premier, as the title says the hands free tailagte stopped working, nothing happens when I kick under the center of the rear bumper. It worked recently but I can't pinpoint when it stipped working. It is enabled in the vehicle settings. Powered tailgate works just fine when I use the overhead console button, tailgate handle button or double click on the key fob.

Maybe try cleaning the sensor underneath?

This is what I did and it started working again. Started the truck, turned off the hands free liftgate open/close in the vehicle settings ran errands then shut the truck off. Next time I drove it (about 2 hours later) I turned on the hands free liftgate open/close and it started working again.
