Ground Clearance Measurement?

Where does everyone typically measure their ground clearance?
I was thinking it would be the lowest point in the vehicle which would be the rear diff pumpkin.

Well, that's one place to measure. For what purpose? What about up front at the air dam? GM has lots of measurements for different reasons.

Probably at the bottom of the front spoiler/air dam.

Roll around under there with a creeper and what ever hits your nose first measure that spot...

i usually drive through about 1 1/2 feet of snow and measure the low spot. i always figured that was the truest measurement

It has a 2" leveling kit on it now and will be getting a 4" BDS lift.
I want to see where it is now against the GM spec for ground clearance, and where it will be after it receives the 4" lift.
