Got my 2010 PPV

Came from upstate NY........ no surprises there. If the test fit works, I will buy new stuff.

Well after the underdrive pulley install I was tired of the guessing game on the size of an AC belt (stupid ass slip belts). So I took a note from the old school LS motors. A belt with its own tensioner.

Parts numbers:

Dayco auto tensioner - 89258
Dayco belt - 5040345
Dorman flanged bolts - M10-1.5x35mm (2)

And I have AC again and all it good. Plus no more ****** around with stretch belts. One 15mm socket, one 3/8 ratchet and I can replace both belts in under 10 mins

Yes, the threaded holes are already there; actually on the AC compressor bracket.

Well I bought the Morimoto LED projector foglights for my PPV. Here are my initial thoughts.....

Pros: look cool as hell and have a nice feel to them

Cons: the connector to the foglight harness was incorrectly wired. They would not fire up. So I bench tested them and......SOB they had them in reverse polarity. So I had cut/shave the connectors so I could flip them.

I have taken all of the pictures and will contact The Retrofit store where I bought them and see what they have to say or do. I'm a reasonable guy and I understand shit happens......maybe to one connector....but both. They have a problem in the QC department. If it was some cheap china shit.....OK, it was cheap. BUT no, I paid over $200 for these mofos; it should be plug and play gents.

More to follow, in the mean time here are some pictures. I only hope the light output is equal to or better then my previous set up.....cheap china replacement housings and some Amazon LED bulbs. If not.....these ****** are going back.

what kinda HP your pushing to get those times? 0-60?

the hybrid stock is 0-50 in 5 seconds flat

0-60 is about 6.5 sec the engine at that point is playing catch up with the 80HP electrical motor



there is soo much torque you can almost get the front wheels off the ground if you launch it just right..

Congrats! Very nice. What dealer? I bought mine with 78k. 2011 in Black, K-9 kennel and electronics, full unmarked light configuration intact, etc. Very complete and ready for service, just needs com and updated laptop.

My transmission went around 85k miles. Converter wouldn't hookup so out it came. Replaced with a fully upgraded Jasper that has been behaving very well for 20k miles.

I have a vibration that I've had a helluva time diagnosing. I've replaced tires, factory wheels were checked for runout/straightening, new shocks, springs, , front control arms, etc. Can't go over 75 mph without a significant and increasing vibration. Next up is checking the runout of the hubs, though the wheels are original and undamaged. How did yours drive?

I also bought mine from a 'dealer in Chicago.' They were fine to deal with. I didn't press them too hard because the truck had everything I wanted intact for a very specific use.

you know what you should do is get someone with a camera and have the video it so you can find that issue see which wheel

Not sure what hybrid you're speaking of, the the Tahoe Hybrid was rated 0-60 in 8.5 sec / the 2010 Tahoe PPV was 0-06 in 8.1 on flex fuel.

I'm putting down about 360 wheel on E85 (see mod list) and about 345 on 93 octane

The retrofit source does have nice stuff. Like you I had the same problem when I put HID’s in my ‘17 Buick Regal. My understanding is that they wire their shit to work for the “non American vehicles” as they sell at ton more to them.

That said if you buy one of their specific kits all of it works on the 1st shot... huh wtf...

I’ve called them and they have a run around with you a few times then send You what you need but it takes a bit of arguing.
