I have a 2002 Tahoe LTZ. Being I live in Wisconsin winters by factory painted black bumpers have started to rust. Well now its about rust spots on the bumpers. No holes but surface rust. I planned on sanding and painting them. After talking to a body shop they said it appears its rusting from the inside out. They suggested to replace both my bumpers with new ones, prime and paint, and reinstall them for $645. Good price? Good ideal?

If they are OEM that seems fair, but you can buy an aftermarket bumper or a used one for under $200 each. I would search that route before I forked out $645. Or even sand them yourself and use some rattle can primer and black paint. Might not be 100% but $645 sounds like a lot.

Well it sounds like what a dealer would charge. Too bad you are not close to me I can get them both for like $150 then paint them
