GM Tint, Trying to Match it

If your truck tint is stock in the rears, I would do 15%.. It will be the closest to OEM tint. I did 20% originally on my tahoe and came out lighter than the rear windows so I got 15% installed and nearly matched..

I put 20% all the way around...so the front windows are 20 and the back are 20 over factory

I also got a 5% "eyebrow"

I will admit it is dark and sometimes hard to see but I love it...the tahoe is black so maybe thats why I like it so much

The factory tint % is etched in the glass.

The W/S and fronts are 70%, rears are 16%, and hatch is 13%. At least on mine.

naww the gm's have 70 in the front and 25 everywhere else from the factory. guess urs was special ordered or something.

I did order it but tint was not special ordered but maybe they changed in later years. I'll have to check my new one when it comes in.

post up some pics people!!! the **** state of illinois jus passed a law that we can now tint the 2 front windows. woohooo!!!
you can do 35% all around or upto 50% in the front and the rear can be as dark as you want. so i jus wanna see what they look like before i go get the tahoe tinted.

Several on different forums have reported Nav problems when using metallic based tints.

I had 20% and it was close, but a little lighter than the rear. After two (fix it) tickets I went to 35%. Now I got another ticket with the 35%, so screw it I'm going back to 20%
