Has anyone figured out if you can swap the gauges and/or infotainment screen from a higher model Tahoe into a LS Tahoe and make either of them function properly? My wife just got a 23’ Tahoe LS and for what we paid I’m not at all impressed with the radio screen or the gauges. I’ve yet to find anything online confirming you can swap either for a higher trim style and have the dealer program and have it work! Please tell me someone has tried and has answers!

Are your guages digital and if so, what makes them differ from the higher end Tahoe models? The only guage cluster swap I've seen is from going to the '22+ models on the Yukon from the '21 models. Basically analog dials to digital.

A guy tried the screen swap, but it failed. The part fit and plugged the in, but he got a multi up view on it of the smaller and lower res LS screen. You will need some sort of reprogramming, which he never found. I can’t find the thread right now

Here's the thread on the failed infotainment screen upgrade.

You're not missing much - other than the smaller screen size, there's no disadvantages to the one you have. The larger screen is Google OS and it's laggy and buggy. At the autoshow I had a chance to play with a '23 Tahoe LS and the infotainment screen was super smooth going from function to function. The Google OS in my '22 Yukon XL displays a "loading" progress bar for about 1.5 seconds between different functions. Completely unacceptable in the 2020's. The OS you have on your Tahoe LS screen is from prior to GM switching to the Google system and it's virtually bug free.

if you were doing such a swap you would likely need to pay for the programming with techline you would also need the interface device such as a mdi2
then before actually programming it you would need to call them and tell them what upgrade you are performing so they can give you the correct calibration number

Yea it’s got the same OS as her Acadia we traded in. Sounds like the radio screen swap is more of a hassle than it’s worth. But I will do the gauge swap I think.
