What I find is the highest trim vehicles have the more depreciation than the lower trim. Depending on circumstances it may be wise to lease depending on incentives and if you can negotiate a really good sale price. I personally have never leased.

No doubt. Compared to high end vehicles tahoes/yukons hold their value quite well.

Just confirms my decision to never buy a new vehicle. That depreciation thing works in my favor that way.

I dunno YMMV.
For example I bought a 15 Denali XL in Sept 14 for 70k and traded it in for a new one and got 40k trade in credit in Sept 18. Depreciation/cost - 30k or 7500/yr or $625/m. Pretty good for a new worry free Denali in my book.
Obviously financial situation plays a big part in this since I bought for cash and of course monthly cost is way less if you buy a used car (excluding repair bills).

I’ve been in the market for lightly used 1 or 2 year old vehicles. Sometimes they are a good deal and other times not so much. It all depends upon available inventory, rebates and incentives and how motivated the dealer is to make the deal. Simply put, I have been able to get a new truck for $1 or $2k more than a used one — all because of the incentives and timing for the dealer (e.g., end of month, quarter or calendar year).

Welp...I have a 2016 loaded denali with 56k miles and in excellent condition worth, apparently, $50k that I’m letting go for the bargain basement price of $40k (still no PMs which is odd)....Any interest?

Post pictures of your 2016 Denali in the For Sale section. Someone here [or elsewhere] just might want it. Hopefully you have ALL service records.

I may have been interested in it last year. It wasn't in the classifieds

Wasn’t looking to get rid of it last year. Probably won’t do a private sale. Been there. Done that. Not worth my time.
So then stop asking why people are not flooding you with offers. That would of been a deal (if it is all you said) around me. Either post it up for sale or stop trying to berate people for not making offers.

I think we have a different understanding of what the word ‘berate’ means...and rhetorical for that matter.

Call it what you want but quit bringing up no one when will PM you when you don't even want to sell it. If that is all this thread is then it can be closed.

Sorry it made you so upset. Honestly didn’t mean to. I will stop rhetorically wondering why no one has pm’d me on it.

It didn't upset me but trying to sell a car without an ad, description, and pics seems a little crazy. Post it if you want to sell it.
