fuel gauge

Hey all. I searched the site and couldn't find a answer so here we go.
Fuel gauge bounces all over the place and not quite sure how accurate it is. And I hear a whine when at idle but when driving I cant hear it. (definatley not the blower motor)
Its a 00 denali with 134k. Comments welcome please!

Fuel gauge could be going nuts because a corroded, loose or broken ground wire at the tank or problem at the circuit board in the instrument cluster or at the connector of the back of the instrument cluster. Try some wiggle tests!
