Fuel Economy Dropping

also i noticed to calculate accurate fuel economy i had to run my gas tank dry bucause the fuel light would go on at like 360 to 370 miles but it would keep going to almost 440 miles before it ran dry wich was a difference of almost 3 gallons
cuz when the fuel light just goes on it barely takes 29 gallones to fill it when the tank is dry it takes over 32 gallons

Are you referring to the standard 26 gallon Tahoe/Yukon fuel tank? You can get 32 gallons out of it? If so that's pretty comforting to know. What vehicle do you have?

no i have a suburban wich has a 32 gallon tank
i used to have a LS tahoe wich had a 26 gallon tank and filling it when the low fuel light comes on usually took 23 to 24 gallons
